Bio Sparge Technical Notes

With the Bio-Sparge any and all vehicles are misted automatically with a fine bio-degradable spray solution, strong enough to disinfect but not to damage paintwork or aluminium wheels. The mist can be adjusted to cover up the sides underneath and the front and back.

Shutting the windows and turning off the ventilation fans ensures protection to the driver as the vehicle passes through the chemical mist.

The farm traffic is sanitised on farm entry and on farm exit ensuring that your farm is protected and any challenges you may have are eliminated.

With an adjustable doser pump the chemical usage could be low at ½%(200-1) rising to 2%(50-1) when outbreaks are reported in your area.

With a 30 second time cycle set as standard it is possible to prolong this time up to 300 seconds for very long or slow moving vehicles.

The Bio-Sparge comes with as standard two number 3 metre rubber vehicle approach hose this trips the unit for its desired spray cycle and the vehicle approach hose need to be fixed in position on concrete approximately 3 metres behind and 3 metres in front of the Bio-Sparge.

Pir and beam sensors can be used as well, as with magnetic inducting coils. Or if there is no power available a mains pressure manual tap could be used or a vehicle approach hose with 12-volt battery and solar panel.

Water protection back flows need to be fitted with units not having pumps with tanks and an AF air gap, if in doubt consult your local water authority.

Assemble the Bio-Sparge with the water and electric connections on the correct side. Follow manual assembly instructions and plug in water and electricity supplies, remove far end water jet and flush with water at full power replace jet. Connect doser pump suction pipe to biodegradable chemical.

Protect water supply to pump assembly with lagging and from pump to doser. The spray bar will drain down and needs no frost protection, but care is needed as over spray could cause concrete to be slippery in the winter months.

Any electrical work needs to be done by qualified electricians; an rcd comes with the unit and most not be removed.

Care should be taken when choosing your chemical as some are very corrosive and will damage vehicles as they pass trough.
